I don't have an actual office with four walls and a door.
My office is a deck off the kitchen and living room.
It gets cold I put on the layers and light the patio heater.
My office is surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
It has a bird feeder and bath and now a nest in a tree.
My office has many colorful pots of flowers, not yet eaten by the dog.
Lots of life in my office.
My office has three umbrellas to keep the sun at bay.
I can gaze at the canyon down below, and think or not.
My office has a spectacular view of the sunrise.
No two mornings are the same, fog rolls in and out.
MY office has views of the hills and the ocean.
I am thankful for cordless phones and wireless internet.
My office is a thousand feet up.
No wasting gas or time to get to my office.
My office is occupied by many. But quiet right now.
I feel so lucky to have an office at all.
No, I don't have an actual office with four walls and a door.
This is not a poem. No crap.....OK?
Just wanted to write this way today!
Sometimes I sit and think. Sometimes I just sit.

first-lucky you, to have a "home office"...! i miss those daze. my office looks out at the harbor and the river and the boats, thankfully. but it is still at work, and i miss my cozy shack in the woods whenever i am here. luckily, i was able to be an at-home mom when my kids were younger, which i will forever cherish.
now for the amazing six-degrees-of-kevin bacon story... how incredible that you bring up huahine! one of my best sister-friends on earth lives there.! she has lived in tahiti for about 20 years, as she married a tahitian. she is now divorced from him, and has dual citizenship, lucky woman! anyway, she was raised in humboldt county, and now her mom lives in san clemente, which is where my friend is now, helping her mom. she returns to huahine on july 15. i have heard many tales through the years about the advantages and disadvantages of living there. i eagerly await the time when i may get to actually visit her. and as for the french govt. being in charge in polynesia, it can be no worse that what we have become governmentally, in my opinion. my father and stepmama have spent lots of time living in paris, and like most places, it has good points and bad. my lucky daughter got to go there/france with them last year, as her graduation present.
i will s.t.f.u. for now~just wanted to say hello and thank you for responding on my little blog. it WILL evolve, i swear! p.s. ro is brilliant and brave. we need more like her, and yes-a woman in the white house would clean things up and good! bye for now.
Having a blog is all about trying new things! Yeah, to you! Trying a new style of putting it to paper. No rules on the blog. I think that is why I am hooked!
You know? Sometimes I just sit too :-)
why yes, yes it is...
this is beyond coincidental, no?!
the blogosphere can be incredible.
she and i met at a dear mutual friend's funeral almost 10 years ago. i see her only every few years, but we share a strong bond, due to our love for our departed pal tim as well as the fact that we are both, ummm....vocal-at-times. my life is
much more mundane/boring/traditional? than the life she lives.
this is really something, i mean it!
Annie,
I asked via my comment section if it was Joyce and then trashed it and emailed you!
I do know Joyce~ She is a fun girl!
Lightfeather, you are always so kind! Thank you!
For the record, I pretty much just sit! Ok, well sometimes I think while I'm sitting. My office is actually a sun room off the living room. I even have a filing cabinet. I'm surrounded by windows, blinds drawn because of glare. But I can peek out to see what's going on.
Your office doesn't have female bitchy colleagues! LOL
nancy-
all that comes to mind is WOW.
you know joyce! that proves to me that this blog world of ours is
really a great thing. it opens unbelievable portals. i mean, what were the odds? i cannot wait to talk to her, and am emailing her after this. you are a lucky woman to get to go there. the many photos i have seen are unreal!
thanks for connecting, truly,
