I stole this idea from Bonny's site. I cannot do bold without html. I have a mac and cannot get the header to make bold font. If I can and you know how...Let me in on it please!
So in the interest of saving time, I will mark X next to the things I have done....And add unnecessary commentary! Can't help myself.

It's the old fashioned ("disfavored") way, but blogger will let you put in bold and italic if you know the code.
Use the inequality signs over the comma and the period.
"Strong" between those signs, with a "/" before the second "strong", will make everything between the two strongs bold. "em" will do the same for italic.
Here is one of many on-line reference guides to HTML.
For all you lurkers out there, yes, the woman and I DO speak other than on line.
I didn't want to post with HTML. It takes too long as does this post.....
Or you can just use a b instead of strong.

I think I got the bold HTML down, eh? How come Blogger doesn't just give us a font drop down box? Us being Mac users!
Firefox for Mac shows up more drop-down boxes, including bold and italic,
Internet Explorer for mac doesn't show any. It's an old program that hasn't been updated for years -- and you still need it for some sites!
I don't know about Camino or Opera.
